Walkie-Talkie
Polish engineer Henryk Magnuski is credited with developing one of the first hand-held two-way radios, or walkie-talkies, while working for Motorola in the 1940s. This portable communication device transformed military communication during World War II by allowing troops to communicate in real-time on the battlefield. The walkie-talkie’s invention heralded a new era in telecommunications, with applications extending beyond the military to public safety, commercial, and personal use, fundamentally changing how people connect across distances.
